A Virtru Case Study
Toto Holding Group, a global construction, energy and engineering organization, needed to protect sensitive project and personal data exchanged with governments, partners and contractors while meeting GDPR requirements. To strengthen email confidentiality and breach readiness, Toto Holding Group selected Virtru and deployed Virtru’s Microsoft 365 data encryption along with on‑premise key management.
Virtru implemented a split‑knowledge architecture using its Customer Key Server, Microsoft 365 encryption, and the Virtru Data Protection Gateway to automate encryption for workflows like HR CVs and anonymous ethics submissions, and to brand encrypted messages. As a result, Toto Holding Group gained on‑premise control of encryption keys, centralized encrypted and unencrypted mail for simpler governance, improved GDPR compliance and NDA confidentiality, and increased resilience against data breaches.
