Redfin’s Title Forward Uses Virtru Encryption Software for Real Estate Transactions

Title Forward, a Redfin subsidiary, needed a way to securely share sensitive closing documents with clients and external partners. Its existing client portal worked for some customers, but others could not or did not want to navigate the platform, so the company needed a simpler way to exchange wire instructions, signed documents, and other financial records. Title Forward used Virtru Data Protection Gateway, Virtru for Google Gmail, and Virtru Secure Share to support those exchanges.

Virtru gave Title Forward encryption that worked within Gmail, allowing employees and clients to send and open protected emails without creating new accounts, passwords, or software installations. The company said this helped its closing team close real estate deals faster, improved customer support, and made it possible to communicate by email whenever needed while maintaining security and auditability for regulatory requirements such as the Texas Department of Insurance.
