A Virtru Case Study

Preview of the Exxelia Case Study

Exxelia Secures Intellectual Property According to ITAR & CMMC 2.0 Standards with Virtru

Exxelia, a multinational manufacturer of high-reliability electronic components for aerospace, defense, energy and medical markets, needed a way to securely share confidential project details and intellectual property while maintaining ITAR compliance and aligning with CMMC 2.0. To address this, Exxelia turned to Virtru and its data protection solutions (including Virtru for Gmail) to protect sensitive communications in Google Workspace without disrupting employee workflows.

Virtru deployed email and file encryption across Exxelia’s Google Workspace, adding visual cues to drive secure behavior and controls that prevent regulated U.S. data from being accessed internationally. As a result, Exxelia meets ITAR and CMMC 2.0 requirements for Google Workspace communications, can securely collaborate with supply-chain partners in aerospace and defense, and ensures intellectual property remains encrypted and confidential both in transit and at rest.
