Exposure Management Company Uses Virtru to Encrypt Sensitive Communications

Exposure Management Company, a cybersecurity company with over 2,000 employees, needed a way to protect sensitive information shared outside its perimeter. The company initially used Virtru for Google Gmail to secure support workflows, and chose it because it was a Google shop with about 85% of employees using Gmail and Google Drive.

Virtru expanded from that first use case into a broader data protection strategy across the company. It added encryption and client-side controls in Google Workspace, helped support, legal, and HR teams protect sensitive communications, and supported CMMC readiness with Virtru’s FedRAMP-authorized Data Security Platform for CUI. The CSO said Virtru had become the de facto standard, and the company also sees potential to expand its use into Google Drive and Virtru Gateway.
