Bosch Gains Insights from its Customer Loyalty Portal with Virto

Bosch Thermotechnik, the Thermotechnology division of the Bosch Group, needed a direct line to end customers to capture usage and installation data that was hidden by its distributor-led sales model. To gain this insight and engage customers, Bosch Thermotechnik chose Virto Commerce’s Microsoft-based digital commerce platform to build a points-based customer loyalty portal with integrations to multiple fulfillment providers and automated product import.

Virto Commerce delivered a REST API–driven backend while Bosch managed the front end, enabling customers to register purchases, earn points, and redeem rewards. The Virto Commerce solution rolled out across 26 brand/country combinations, connected to 66 fulfillment providers, processed 500 orders in the first two weeks and about 35,000 orders in 1.5 years, and lists over 8,000 articles—providing Bosch Thermotechnik with measurable customer insights and a scalable, long-term platform.
