A Virto Commerce Case Study
OMNIA Partners, North America’s largest group purchasing organization (GPO), needed a way to make cooperative purchasing accessible and efficient for small and mid‑sized public agencies that were hampered by limited procurement staff, complex compliance requirements, fragmented punch‑out workflows, and high touchpoint costs. In 2023 OMNIA Partners partnered with Virto Commerce to create OPUS, a purpose‑built digital B2B marketplace designed to deliver a self‑service, compliant buying experience for those agencies.
Virto Commerce provided its composable commerce platform and led the implementation, co‑building capabilities like Quick Connect and Connect to Contracts to centralize supplier access and streamline approvals and payments. The OPUS marketplace now hosts 7 million SKUs from 630 suppliers, serves over 11,000 public agencies (with ~19,000 users), has driven 4,000+ Quick Connects and a 58% reorder rate, and cut commodity procurement from hours across days to about 10 minutes and large procurements from 9–12 months to a few weeks—demonstrating clear time savings and measurable adoption under Virto Commerce’s solution.
