Case Study: Weill Cornell Medicine improves medical training flexibility with Virti

A Virti Case Study

Balancing employee utilization and provision with Virti

Weill Cornell Medicine, a teaching hospital, faced the challenge of training its highly utilized clinical staff without disrupting the provision of healthcare. Standard, time-consuming training sessions were impractical, and the nuanced, high-risk nature of medicine required more effective and accessible training methods than traditional one-size-fits-all approaches could provide.

The hospital implemented Virti's extended reality (XR) training platform, introduced through a partnership with VIVE Medical. The Virti solution allows staff to train on their own time using VR headsets for both hard and soft skills, including scenarios with AI-powered virtual avatars. While the program is still in a pilot phase, Weill Cornell has found the Virti platform to be highly customizable and easy to use, significantly decreasing the barrier to entry for creating immersive content without requiring technical expertise.
