Mixbook achieves “high level of confidence” in AWS monitoring

Mixbook, a Redwood City–based SaaS and e-commerce company that builds a web platform for personalized photo products, faced the challenge of automating monitoring for a highly dynamic AWS environment (EC2, S3, RDS, Docker) that can triple or quadruple in hosts during peak demand. After relying on manual reviews and CloudWatch alarms that were easy to miss, Mixbook selected Virtana’s CloudWisdom to modernize its monitoring workflow.

Virtana’s CloudWisdom implemented ML-driven anomaly detection and policy rules that automatically learn metric behavior and immediately monitor newly added resources, eliminating frequent manual configuration checks. As a result, Mixbook reports a “high level of confidence” that no service is overlooked, is already standing up new AWS services like Fargate with fewer risks, and plans to extend CloudWisdom to cost-management and ongoing cost analysis.
