Unify, part of Mitel and a leading communications software provider, faced fragmented monitoring across tools such as IBM Netcool, Fire and eHealth that delivered only fault management and left gaps in performance visibility and extensibility. To consolidate monitoring, add richer performance data, and simplify operations, Unify selected Virtana’s monitoring platform — including its remote collectors, hubs and modular Integrations — for a single, extensible monitoring solution.

Virtana implemented a unified, global monitoring and reporting platform (two primary production systems) with more than 200 remote collectors routed through 10 hubs, plus custom Integrations and out-of-the-box connectors for Cisco UCS, VMware and BMC CMDB/Remedy/Orchestrator. As a result, Unify gained 24/7 coverage, better event filtering and root-cause analysis, the ability to capture previously invisible application and hardware data, and the verified capability to offer a 99.9% uptime guarantee while substantially reducing IT incidents.
