Case Study: Raytheon Intelligence & Space achieves protection of energy grids from memory-based cyberattacks with Virsec's Trusted Execution

A Virsec Case Study

Preview of the Raytheon Intelligence & Space Case Study

Raytheon and Virsec Partner to Guard the Grid

Raytheon Intelligence & Space faced the growing risk that nation-state and criminal actors could cripple energy grids and other critical infrastructure using sophisticated malware (e.g., CrashOverride/Industroyer) and memory‑based, fileless attacks that exploit legitimate applications. To harden customers across government, utilities, healthcare and finance, Raytheon partnered with Virsec to field Virsec’s Trusted Execution technology.

Virsec’s Trusted Execution was deployed to learn normal application behavior and deterministically detect and stop abnormal, memory‑based activity in real time, preventing zero‑day, fileless and memory‑corruption attacks with minimal false positives. The Raytheon–Virsec collaboration accelerated delivery of this protection into federal and international customers, helping Raytheon Intelligence & Space reduce exposure of critical infrastructure and bridge acquisition gaps for urgently needed cybersecurity capabilities.
