Broadcom Achieves Application-Aware Workload Protection

Broadcom, a global infrastructure technology leader, faced increasing, evasive runtime attacks that were bypassing conventional defenses and threatening its customer portal and mission‑critical applications. After evaluating options, Broadcom selected Virsec and conducted a POC of the Virsec Security Platform (VSP) and its AppMap® technology to address gaps left by WAF, EDR and endpoint tools.

Virsec deployed VSP to protect the full application stack (Java, Node.js, Nginx and host layers), using AppMap to map legitimate application behavior and provide signature‑less, automated runtime protection. The solution detected and stopped evasive and zero‑day attacks without tuning, delivered immediate ROI, was rolled out to protect 100+ application instances, and ultimately deployed across Broadcom’s entire network to achieve full‑stack, application‑aware workload protection.
