Manor New Tech Middle School prepares 900 students with Virco

Manor New Tech Middle School, a STEM-focused campus in Texas, faced the challenge of furnishing its open-concept environment to support collaborative, project-based learning while overcoming issues with storage and the need to create flexible, defined learning areas for active supervision. They turned to vendor Virco and its PlanSCAPE service for a solution.

Virco implemented a suite of mobile furnishings, including storage tables, mobile dry erase boards, and upholstered seating with power stations to create adaptable Focus Zones and breakout rooms. This solution allowed the school to easily reconfigure its spaces for different activities, from lectures to exams. The cafeteria was also transformed with custom, mobile booths and tables to function as both a dining area and an auditorium, achieving the school's goal of a dynamic, student-centered learning environment.
