Columbus City Schools standardizes flexible furniture district-wide across 75+ years with Virco

Columbus City Schools sought to revitalize its learning environments by creating a standardized, flexible furniture program across the district. The challenge was to establish durable and adaptable solutions for a range of grade levels, beginning with a prototype at Hamilton STEM Academy. Virco implemented a comprehensive furniture program featuring flexible and ergonomic solutions like ZUMA Series chairs and adjustable desks. This allowed classrooms to easily transition between collaborative group work and individual learning. Following the successful transformation of Hamilton STEM Academy into a flagship school, the initiative is now expanding across the entire Columbus City Schools district.
