The Economist Events - Customer Case Study

The Economist Events wanted a more engaging way to help a global audience network during its Innovation@Work Virtual Week, especially in a social setting that would feel natural and memorable online. To meet that challenge, the team worked with Virbela and used The Virbela Speakeasy™ for a virtual after-party experience.

Virbela created a virtual club environment with avatars, a dance floor, a stage, screens, and a balcony, and featured a live set from DJ Jazzy Jeff. The result was a lively international networking event that drew attendees from around the world, sparked conversation, and gave The Economist Events a novel “out-of-the-box” social experience, though no specific numeric metrics were reported.
