EXPCON, hosted by eXp Realty, needed a way to run its 2020 conference virtually while still delivering the networking, learning, and social feel of an in-person event. To meet that challenge, the company used Virbela’s virtual campus and event platform to bring together attendees, speakers, and staff from around the world.

Virbela powered EXPCON 2020 inside eXp World, enabling live-streamed keynotes, breakout sessions, avatar networking, webcam integration, emotes, and chat tools. The event drew over 2,000 attendees from 35 countries, broke Virbela’s record for concurrent campus users, and became the largest event ever hosted on Virbela’s virtual world platform, with 1,000 people in the auditorium at once.
