Action Learning Associates (ALA), a consulting firm focused on executive leadership and professional development, needed a way to scale its immersive, socially interactive courses beyond in-person sessions without losing the personal, experiential learning that defines its programs. Its challenge was to recreate the kind of group tasks, discussions, and self-awareness exercises that work well in person, while making the experience accessible to participants from different locations and comfortable for senior executives who are not necessarily digital natives.

Virbela helped ALA launch VEE CAMPUS (Virtual Executive Education Campus), a 3D virtual campus where participants join as avatars, move through shared spaces, use spatial audio, and collaborate in breakout rooms and exercises. The result was a more engaging online learning environment that preserved networking and group interaction, reduced unstructured setup time, and enabled new outcomes such as participant-led business ideas. Virbela’s platform allowed ALA to extend its programs globally while maintaining the interactive, personal feel of its courses.
