FlySafair, a fast-growing low-cost South African airline, faced massive traffic spikes during its popular annual sales that crashed their site in 2015. To both protect site performance and capitalize on the high-volume waiting-room audience, FlySafair partnered with ViralSweep to run promotional sweepstakes tied to the sale events.

ViralSweep delivered a "Free Flights For a Year" sweepstakes linked from the waiting-room landing page, offering bonus entries for referrals, social shares and watching a TV ad. The campaign generated over 150,000 sweepstakes entries (154,795 in 2018), helped drive approximately 30,000 one-way discounted ticket sales during the R4 sale, produced 40,154 YouTube ad views, and grew FlySafair’s marketing list and overall engagement — results FlySafair continues to achieve using ViralSweep.
