A VIPRE Case Study

VIPRE Fits School District’s Expansion Plans

College Station, Texas, facing rapid population and enrollment growth, needed a scalable, low‑impact antivirus solution to protect more than 5,000 PCs across a dozen campuses. The district had performance and thin‑client issues with its legacy vendor and evaluated alternatives, ultimately piloting and selecting VIPRE (VIPRE Business Premium) to address performance, management, and expansion constraints.

VIPRE implemented a distributed architecture with local update servers, Active Directory integration and policy controls by campus and device type, then rolled VIPRE out across the entire district. The result was measurable: district‑wide protection for 5,000+ PCs with noticeably better PC performance and reliable thin‑client compatibility, continued satisfaction after nearly two years in production and reduced end‑user impact compared with the previous solution.
