John Peterson Consulting Inc. (JPCI), a Bend, OR–based MSP serving small businesses, needed a reliable, easy-to-manage security solution to enforce its strict client security policies across dispersed sites and remote users. JPCI required endpoint protection that could centrally push patches and Windows updates, be deployed silently via remote installers, and provide more responsive administration — prompting the company to require VIPRE on all devices and to participate in the beta for VIPRE’s new cloud-based offering.
VIPRE’s cloud solution delivered a redesigned administrative dashboard, daily health-report emails and centralized management with remote installers and patching for critical software, which JPCI says improved responsiveness and trend visibility. As a result, JPCI now manages 250 VIPRE endpoints (135 as managed services), migrated a 75‑system client from Norton in about a day, reports a “100% catch rate” with zero false positives, and plans to move to a cloud-only model — all while keeping client costs low (about $1.25/month per machine) and reducing renewal hassles.
