Case Study: NewCrop improves its coffee auction platform with Vinta Software

NewCrop is a B2B exchange startup for unroasted coffee that launched in San Francisco in 2015. The company was building a split-lot coffee exchange in Meteor, but its auction system was missing essential features and had serious usability issues on both the customer and administrator sides. NewCrop brought in Vinta Software to help add features, fix bugs, and improve the existing code.

Vinta Software implemented the new auction system to NewCrop’s specifications and worked closely with the team through Slack and Asana to keep development moving. Vinta Software also helped improve the coffee offering and administration pages with NewCrop’s UI designer, turning a static HTML/CSS layout into a full Meteor template. The result was a more usable product that better served both producers and roasters.
