Medplum, a healthcare technology company, partnered with Vinta Software to address the challenge of fragmented patient coordination for a regional hospital network. The hospital's transfer teams relied on manual communication like phone calls and shared documents, creating delays and confusion in fast-paced clinical environments where real-time visibility into bed availability and patient status was critically needed.

Vinta Software built a real-time, FHIR-native Transfer Center dashboard on the Medplum platform. The solution processed HL7 ADT messages to provide a live view of bed status and implemented streamlined patient intake forms. While the project used test data, the successfully delivered MVP demonstrated the power of Medplum for hospital operations, providing a clear foundation for operational visibility and a more coordinated, consistent transfer process without lengthy back-and-forth communication.
