A world‑renowned professional football club in a major European city needed to move beyond social platforms to build direct relationships with its global fanbase, monetize exclusive content, and gain ownership of fan data. To launch an OTT streaming service and a premium membership program with multi‑device support and in‑app purchases, the club selected Vindicia and its subscription management platform to handle acquisition, billing, entitlements, payments and compliance.
Vindicia implemented an end‑to‑end, SaaS subscription solution (deployed on AWS) enabling a rapid summer 2020 launch with 1,000+ hours of content and 3,000+ VOD assets, annual subscriptions (€45) and iOS in‑app purchases, while managing GDPR and PCI Level 1 requirements. The platform gave the club actionable subscription insights (MRR, IAP revenue, churn, conversions), supported global payments and currencies, and helped position the club to grow digital revenue from €97M today toward a projected >€290M by 2025.
