HSL modernizes Jore4 from the 1970s with Vincit to improve public transport reliability

HSL, the public transport authority for the Helsinki metropolitan area, faced challenges with its outdated Jore public transport registry, a system dating back to the 1970s. The legacy system caused data integrity problems, manual errors, and compatibility issues, which hampered HSL's ability to ensure reliable public transport. Partnering with Vincit, HSL sought to develop a new, user-friendly version of the registry called Jore4 to streamline workflows and support its strategic operations.

Vincit implemented the Jore4 solution using agile methodologies, providing a full range of expertise including development, UI/UX design, and service design. The new registry significantly increased data reliability, made daily work easier for HSL employees, and improved the overall functionality of public transport in Helsinki. Vincit's collaborative and agile approach ensured the project could adapt to changing needs, and the partnership continues for the maintenance and further development of the Jore4 system.
