truTV marked the 100th episode of Impractical Jokers with a high-profile live tightrope walk over New York’s South Street Seaport and wanted the event—and behind-the-scenes access—streamed on the truTV website. To pull off their first live episode, truTV partnered with Vimeo (using its Livestream service) to meet the technical and editorial challenges of a complex outdoor live broadcast.

Vimeo’s Livestream Production team built a custom player and delivered five different camera angles from on-site production, ensuring the editorial vibe, lighting, and seamless streaming the director requested. The result was successful multi-angle live coverage and enhanced fan access on truTV.com, with director Daniel Greene calling Livestream “by far the best,” reflecting strong execution and audience-facing impact.
