How Wise scaled its employee communications into a company-wide “Mission”

Wise, the global fintech company formerly known as TransferWise, needed a better way to organize and share employee communications across 17 countries and 4 continents. Its distributed workforce was relying on YouTube, Zoom, Google Drive, Slack, and Confluence, but the experience was cumbersome and hard to scale. Wise wanted a secure, easy-to-use video solution that could make internal communications feel unified and accessible, and it chose Vimeo for that purpose.

With Vimeo’s Showcases, Video Library, and live streaming tools, Wise built a centralized video library and began streaming company town halls every two to three weeks, along with twice-yearly internal conferences called Mission Days. Vimeo also helped Wise add auto-archiving and closed captions, improving organization and accessibility. Since joining Vimeo in 2019, Wise has scaled its content library across more than 89 collaborative workspaces and 4,900 employees, creating a stronger, more connected internal communications system.
