A Vimeo Case Study
Outfest, a nonprofit LGBTQIA+ arts, media, and entertainment organization, needed a way to expand its film festival programming beyond in-person events and reach audiences globally, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic made online programming essential. To preserve its mission of amplifying underrepresented stories, Outfest looked to Vimeo and its OTT product, Vimeo OTT, as the platform for moving its content online.
Vimeo helped Outfest launch a pilot Pride film festival that evolved into the Outfest Now OTT channel, delivering subscription access to films, shorts, series, and live Q&As for LGBTQIA+ audiences worldwide. The online festival revealed strong demand for live Q&As and broader access, helping Outfest refine its offering and extend its impact globally, with Vimeo enabling a scalable, turnkey solution for future growth.
