NBC Sports wanted a digital accessory for Johnny Weir that would draw attention and capture the social chatter it created during the Kentucky Derby. Viget worked with NBC Sports to create a Twitter-powered “Social Brooch” built for the broadcast.

The brooch featured a galloping horse that responded to tweets using the hashtag #WatchMeNeighNeigh, and Viget refined the design through multiple iterations, including engineering changes and a custom PCB. In its first year, more than 17.9 million viewers saw over 4,000 tweets, including 155 per minute at key moments, and the brooch returned for the next Derby event.
