The Lupus Foundation of America worked with Viget to address a major awareness gap around lupus. Nearly two-thirds of the public knew little or nothing about the disease, and the organization wanted to educate a broader audience while also supporting research fundraising.

Viget created Know Lupus, a casino-inspired card game built with custom illustration and animation in React. The experience encouraged players to learn, share facts, and share their final score, and it included a donation trigger from a partner upon completion. The game drew 100,000 plays in its first month after launch.
