Dick’s Sporting Goods worked with Viget to create a shoppable, product-driven platform for its target audience of 16-to-25-year-old baseball-loving guys. The goal was to get attention for DSG’s new baseball gear with something more engaging than a standard catalog.
Viget built an interactive video lookbook that made the player’s view of the game the shopping experience, with full-screen video, product hotspots, and links to buy. Visitors spent more than 4.3K total hours exploring, sharing, and shopping across desktop and mobile, and paid media changes helped drive a 59% drop in bounce rate, a 215% improvement in average session duration, and a 36% increase in conversions.
