The goal was to give couchsurfers the information and tools to experience places like locals, with a focus on practical, location-specific advice.

Viget conceived, designed, and built Local Advice, a feature that integrated into existing user profiles and replaced the site’s discussion forums. The update also added interest-based tags to profiles and improved city pages, helping position CouchSurfing as a place for travelers to find local insights and share recommendations.
