Gelson’s Markets, a premier Southern California supermarket chain, sought a more contemporary and cost-effective alternative to the time-consuming process of updating printed department signage. The challenge was to reduce print costs while enabling more flexible and frequent content changes across their 27 stores. They partnered with ViewSonic to find a digital signage solution.

ViewSonic implemented a solution using their CDE4320 commercial displays, network media players, and included Signage Manager software. The results included a full return on investment in under a year for most departments, substantial long-term cost savings, and a more modern, upscale store aesthetic. The ViewSonic system provided the flexibility to update content instantly and also became a valuable tool for showcasing vendor partners and improving the overall customer experience.
