A ViewSonic Case Study
The Uruguayan Soccer Association (AUF) faced a significant challenge with fan safety and violence in its Montevideo stadiums, which had become so severe that evening matches were suspended for seven years. Their existing security system was inadequate, consisting of only a few basic cameras that provided no usable evidence for law enforcement. Working with systems integrator Home & Office, the AUF sought a new solution and selected ViewSonic monitors for the project.
The implemented solution involved an advanced access control and video surveillance system using facial recognition technology. ViewSonic provided its VX2475SMHL-4K and VA2407H monitors for the central control rooms to display the high-quality footage. According to the AUF and the integrator, ViewSonic's technology was critical to the system's success, resulting in a dramatic reduction in violent incidents and the safe return of evening matches, including major rival games, for the first time in years.
