A ViewSonic Case Study
Chung Yuan Christian University's Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language faced significant challenges in adapting to hybrid education. The existing methods for online learning, including prerecorded videos and cumbersome videoconferencing, lacked interactivity and were difficult for teachers to manage. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the need for a robust solution that could seamlessly blend in-person and remote instruction without disrupting established teaching practices or student engagement.
ViewSonic implemented a comprehensive hybrid teaching classroom solution for the university. The setup, featuring ViewBoard interactive displays, the myViewBoard software ecosystem, projectors, and cameras, allowed teachers to simultaneously instruct students in the classroom and online with a high degree of interaction. The results were significant: overseas students could learn as if present, a single class could be taught to 60 students synchronously and over 1,000 asynchronously, and teachers could adopt the technology effortlessly. ViewSonic's solution ensured learning continued uninterrupted and dramatically expanded the university's reach.
