Alma College Teams up with Unique Retail Venue and ViewSonic® to Provide Varsity Esports Facilities

Alma College, a private liberal arts institution, partnered with ViewSonic to overcome the challenge of creating a varsity esports team and a community hub by transforming a historic, fire-damaged opera house into a state-of-the-art gaming venue. The college lacked the necessary facilities for its new team and sought to create a vibrant gathering space that would appeal to both competitive gamers and the local community.

The solution, implemented by AV integrator CCS Presentation Systems, centered on a comprehensive ViewSonic display package. This included over two dozen high-refresh-rate gaming monitors for players and multiple large-format 4K commercial displays for spectators and streaming. The result was the successful launch of the Block House Esports venue. ViewSonic's technology not only provided the Alma College esports team with a professional-grade facility for practice and competition but also created an immersive environment that became an instant community attraction, drawing in families and casual gamers and fostering social connections through shared entertainment.
