Norwest Holst (now Vinci) was appointed to deliver a £60m redevelopment of the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital under the NHS ProCure21 programme, including a Diagnostic & Treatment Centre and a Cardio‑Thoracic Centre featuring a novel barn‑style theatre. The 56‑month, multi‑partner project required strict cost and time certainty, high quality design and tight coordination across 31 organisations and hundreds of users.

The team deployed an integrated collaboration platform (Viewpoint/4Projects) to manage project information, communications, task tracking for technical queries and RFIs, and rapid issuing of drawings and documents. This streamlined workflows, produced substantial time savings through immediate package distribution, improved cross‑team coordination and helped deliver the new facilities to patients in late 2009.
