Stetner Electric Moves to the Cloud, Leverages Viewpoint ePayments to Optimize its AP Processes—Saving Significant Time and Money

Stetner Electric (now Stetner Construction Group) is a Washington-based electrical and low-voltage contractor founded in 1992 that grew rapidly—jumping from roughly $5M to $45M in recent years and expanding into technology services. That growth exposed weaknesses in its back-office: the company relied on QuickBooks and paper-based AP processes, which caused duplicate data entry, slow and risky payments, difficult bank reconciliation, and limited real-time financial and project visibility.

To address this, Stetner moved to a construction-specific ERP (Trimble Viewpoint Spectrum), migrated to the cloud with Trimble Construction One, and implemented Viewpoint ePayments to digitize accounts payable. The integrated, single-step payment workflow made about 99% of AP paperless, cut AP time by roughly 25%, simplified bank reconciliation, sped vendor payments, and—through lower administrative costs and rebate programs—delivered at least $30,000 in annual savings after a minimal implementation effort.
