MPI Offshore Ltd., a pioneer in offshore wind turbine installation, commissioned two new Turbine Installation Vessels—Adventure and Discovery—valued at $550 million and featuring larger cranes, expanded accommodation, helideck and enhanced positioning to work in both wind and oil & gas sectors. With partners and teams distributed globally, MPI needed a way to ensure timely, accurate information flow and coordinated document control across the project.

They implemented Viewpoint For Project Collaboration, a web-based collaboration tool that provided version control, audit trails, process management and user-selected language preferences (including simplified Chinese). The platform supported 78 users across 10 organizations, handling 9,379 uploads, 43,692 downloads and 8,163 documents/drawings, ensuring all stakeholders worked from the latest documents and could track who did what and when.
