Midwest Concrete Materials Streamlines Its Aggregates Operations with Spectrum

Midwest Concrete Materials, based in Manhattan, Kan., was struggling with error-prone, manual ticketing and little-to-no audit trails or level security, which led to frequent billing corrections, re-entries and vulnerability to missed orders. High daily ticket volumes in ready mix and aggregates made the process labor-intensive and hard to manage.

The company implemented Spectrum® Construction Software, integrating its ticketing systems, automated scales and document imaging to create a streamlined flow of data into accounting and billing. The result: faster, more accurate billing with the majority of tickets downloaded directly into Spectrum, electronic storage of tickets, reduced paper and storage costs, and a drop in required AR staffing from an estimated eight people to two—enabling the company to handle 200–250 ready-mix tickets per day and support growth.
