Gamuda Berhad Digitises Massive Jobsite with Viewpoint’s Field View™ Solution

Gamuda Berhad, Malaysia’s largest civil engineering contractor, faced major data and quality-control challenges on large-scale projects such as the MRT Line 2. Complex tunnelling and aboveground works relied on paper-based permits, inspections and site diaries, producing outdated or missing information, little analytics, and weak accountability that risked quality issues, theft and schedule delays.

Gamuda implemented Viewpoint Field View to digitise field data collection, creating 480 optimized digital forms used by 900+ users and feeding APIs into business intelligence dashboards for near‑real‑time insight. The solution streamlined document management, enforced audit trails, timestamps and digital signatures, reduced material loss (concrete and steel), accelerated approvals and generated over 200,000 live digital forms in 18 months—results Gamuda now plans to scale across other projects.
