BAM Construct was contracted to deliver the 30,000 m² Mittal Children’s Medical Centre expansion at Great Ormond Street Hospital, a complex, high-spec NHS project divided into 700 individual areas with intensive pre-closure inspections and tight milestone deadlines. The challenge was to monitor progress quickly and accurately across numerous rooms and trades without burdensome paperwork slowing managers down.

BAM deployed Viewpoint’s Field View on PDAs with weekly dropdown checklists and a traffic‑light status system, enabling room-by-room inspections, automated syncing to PCs and visual bar‑chart reporting. The solution cut on-site paperwork, freed managers to focus on critical tasks, made it easy to spot and investigate process problems, and is now being extended from progress monitoring into snagging and other site activities.
