Abt Electronics wanted to replicate the in-store shopping experience online, keep customers engaged with video, and drive more revenue from its video content. It also lacked a way to measure how videos affected customer behavior and had difficulty distributing a large volume of videos across its target platforms. It worked with VideoCommerce, part of Liveclicker’s VideoCommerce Platform, to address those issues.
With VideoCommerce, Abt Electronics was able to publish more than 1,200 videos across its desired platforms and use analytics to understand which formats and lengths performed best. The company reported that from 2013 to 2014 average video plays increased 187 percent, orders increased 144 percent, order dollar value increased 205 percent, average order value increased 25 percent, revenue per video play increased 81 percent, and conversion rate increased 70%.
