UnitedHealthcare, working with Horizon Next, wanted to increase education and awareness for its “Take Advantage” Medicare Advantage program among adults 65+ and stand out in a crowded health insurance market. Using VideoAmp, the team aimed to reach likely Medicare enrollees, better explain the program’s benefits, and differentiate UnitedHealthcare from competitors.
VideoAmp helped UnitedHealthcare build advanced audiences using commingled TV viewership data combined with third-party health datasets, including households currently enrolled in or soon to opt into Medicare and people exposed to competitors’ linear ads. This approach improved targeting and frequency control across digital channels, resulting in more than 3.5 million incremental unique users reached and a 35% increase in video completion rate.
