SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, a leading Canadian hotel operations and asset management company, needed a better way to pre-screen candidates and offer scheduling flexibility while protecting a small three-person Corporate Human Capital team from costly turnover. To solve this, SilverBirch adopted VidCruiter’s Pre-Recorded Video Interviews to streamline screening for their corporate office and occasional hotel management roles.

Using VidCruiter, candidates answer six–seven alternating video and written questions on their own schedule, with the ability to replay and resubmit responses; hiring managers then review and provide feedback asynchronously. VidCruiter’s solution made scheduling easier, helped SilverBirch attract employed top talent, increased confidence in selection (“by the time we get to the in-person interview stage, most of the time we’re pretty certain we’ve found the person we want to hire”), and reduced the need to recruit frequently, contributing to lower turnover.
