StartX, a non-profit startup accelerator affiliated with Stanford University, faced a time-consuming, largely manual hiring process that left a one-person People Operations team tied up in scheduling, reference checks and coordination. To streamline hiring, StartX has worked with VidCruiter since 2014 and in 2019 upgraded to VidCruiter’s end-to-end recruitment suite, deploying Automated Scheduling, Automated Reference Checking, Live Video Interviewing and Skills Testing.
VidCruiter implemented a centralized, structured workflow—automating scheduling and reference collection, adding built-in rating and recording for interviews, and enabling remote live interviews and skills assessments—so StartX could document scorecards and candidate profiles in one place. The result: StartX reclaimed administrative time for sourcing and other priorities, expanded its applicant pool via remote interviewing, and reduced time-to-hire by 25% using VidCruiter.
