How PMCV Saved Medical Teams 1000s of Hours With Pre-Recorded Video Interviews

PMCV (Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria) needed to streamline its Allocation and Placement Service after COVID-19 exposed how resource‑heavy face‑to‑face panel interviews were: each of ~25 health services had to interview hundreds of candidates, interviews were time‑consuming to schedule, cohorts sometimes shared answers, and international applicants faced time‑zone barriers. To solve this, PMCV partnered with VidCruiter and adopted VidCruiter’s Pre‑Recorded Video Interviews.

VidCruiter’s pre‑recorded interviews were integrated and white‑labeled within PMCV’s APS, with randomized question banks and centralized workflows so candidates complete one interview per match and raters review on their own schedules. The VidCruiter solution removed the need for most live panels, reduced administrative work, supported 2,500+ junior doctor applicants annually, and saved “1000s of hours” for healthcare raters while improving scalability and consistency.
