A VictorOps Case Study
Ecwid, a B2B software company serving more than 600,000 online merchants in 175 countries, faced high costs and unreliable delivery from its previous on-call management solution. Seeking easier integrations and faster, more predictable alerts, Ecwid chose VictorOps and began using the VictorOps platform (including its Transmogrifier feature) to centralize incident communication.
VictorOps consolidated alerts and chat into a single timeline and integrated with Icinga, Pingdom, AWS, GitHub, HipChat and email, while offering unlimited notifications to avoid the per-notification fees that had cost Ecwid several hundred dollars during past incidents. VictorOps also proved faster and more reliable than a competitor and SMS during trials, and the Transmogrifier was baked into Ecwid’s server-build process to improve rule testing, documentation and overall operational reliability.
