Crowdtap, a B2B software company in New York, needed an on-call solution with a reliable mobile experience so developers and operations could collaborate on incidents without being at a computer. After struggling with a previous provider whose app frequently failed, Crowdtap adopted VictorOps’ on-call platform—notably the native VictorOps mobile app—to enable real-time, scoped incident conversations and post‑mortems.
VictorOps implemented rotations, calendar and escalation policies plus the native mobile chat, which let team members respond from anywhere (even on vacation) and keep incident context in one place. The result: each of Crowdtap’s 13 applications now has two people in rotation with a developer always on-call, a changed developer mindset around deployments, and fewer production issues thanks to faster, mobile-first collaboration with VictorOps.
