Craftsy Gets Alert Context with the Incident Automation Engine

Craftsy, an online B2C platform for crafts education, struggled with on-call management and noisy alerts that made one-off handoffs and post-incident analysis painful. In August 2013 they moved from a limited scheduling tool to VictorOps’ on-call/incident automation solution to address missed coverage, fragmented alert context, and aggressive escalation policies.

VictorOps delivered a simple mobile "take on-call" workflow, a unified timeline that pulls alerts and communication from Nagios, CloudWatch and Splunk (with API integrations), and nested escalation policies to route incidents correctly. As a result, Craftsy reports faster time-to-resolution, materially reduced alert fatigue, clearer post‑mortems with exact incident timelines, more reliable coverage and happier, less anxious on-call teams — outcomes they attribute directly to VictorOps.
