Sensedia, a leading integration solutions provider, needed a scalable and highly available metrics storage solution that integrated with Grafana using PromQL and could securely receive data from Prometheus. The requirement was to store metrics for 15 days while ensuring the system remained stable during their highest traffic events. VictoriaMetrics was selected to address this challenge.

The solution from VictoriaMetrics was implemented after a successful proof of concept and was put into production just before the peak Black Friday period. The implementation set a record for metric generation with no instability, successfully handling over 112 billion data points. Sensedia highlighted that VictoriaMetrics just works, uses fewer hardware resources than other tools, and provided the necessary Prometheus compatibility and security features.
