Summit Fire Protection completes 200,000 sq. ft. warehouse sprinkler project two weeks ahead of schedule with Victaulic

Summit Fire Protection faced the challenge of installing 2,250 fire sprinklers in a large 200,000-square-foot warehouse, a process that traditionally involves time-consuming and physically demanding threaded installation methods. For this project, the contractor turned to Victaulic and its Firelock IGS sprinkler coupling technology to find a more efficient and safer solution.

Victaulic's grooved solution eliminated the need for taping, doping, and using sprinkler wrenches, which improved fitter safety and prevented damage to the sprinklers. This easy-to-install approach allowed Summit Fire Protection to complete the project two weeks ahead of schedule with zero leaks. The success of this Victaulic solution led the contractor to use it on two subsequent warehouse projects totaling 1.6 million square feet.
